I have a Motor repair manual that lists that distributor number for a 1952 passenger car with a Powerglide transmission. That would make it a 235 with 6.7:1 compression and 105 HP, per the same manual. The car would have had a 6V ignition system, but the distributor doesn't care- - - -with the proper coil it will work on either voltage.
