All I can say is thank god for CA trucks. With your situation I don't know how you would ever get it operating again.
But, contact, mothertrucker, he is on this forum and can be found through the swapmeet. I bet he can sell you all the moving parts necessary. Whether you can actually make it work in a rusted out shell of a door, I cannot tell you. Good luck. I think I might have just bought some doors that worked for replacements.
