I did my bed in 5/4 step treads (pine) for the sides,used my stakes,front,backmetal,and and tailgate on the wood. Even kept the slant edge on top in wood. The the bed floor is designed to lift out. I only built it to be temporary, but everybody likes it so much I desired to keep it now. I also uesed the splash pan's, running boards and fenders. I looks like a woody and added a little more weight.
