I have an air powered DA palm sander by Ingersoll Rand that I'm using to sand on my truck. It has a 5" pad. I like it, its variable speed and if used with hook & loop paper will allow you to attach a vaccum and suck dust up through the pad. I have a PSA pad (pressure sensitive adhesive) for it as PSA paper is much cheaper. It cost me around $120, but has been very, very useful.
