CONGRATS ! G.L., The 261 is a good engine. My '54 Chevy COE is powered by one. I got mine fired up back during the Christmas Holidays, it hadn't run in about 3yrs., when I bought the truck back in the spring, it would start, but not run, I had to rebuild the Carter updraft carb. it had on it.
