Hi,Julian,and WELCOME to the "'Bolt"! Old gas is usually the "Gremlin",when it comes to performance issues with an old vehicle. These things weren't designed to run on un-leaded gas,either. you may need to clean the tank,blow-out the fuel lines,and replace the fuel pump/filters,and rebuild the carburetor,before you get it running right.
