Since I didn't know what that meant, I looked it up. I remember when the Regiments were formed. So I am part of the post VN/Cold War era, 71-91. When I graduated from Ranger school, I think there were Ranger Companies at Ft. Carson and Alaska and that was about it. My time was spent in Mech. Infantry, 3ID and 1ID, with a 1 year sentence to the 2ID in Korea. All ancient history today.
