| I have more zippers then a pair of cargo pants Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 218 | I did a 54 Chevy, used a Suburban/Blazer tank under the bed. The original filler neck was cut down to fit in the drivers rear fender w/stock rubber gasket. Then I had some stainless exhaust pipe bent to the angle I needed & put it all together w/hose & clamps. Depending on the tank & sending unit you use you may have to add a vent for the tank to breath. I welded a plug into the filler neck & ran steel tubing(brake line) along the inside of the fender using the fender bolts and looped it back towards the filler neck & pushed a gas filter in the end so no dirt had any chance of getting back into the tank. Sorry no pics........joe
