My neighbor had an observation about the rack & pinion kits for straight axles. He said, "that's a heck of a deal, they take a $175 rack, put some little $25 brackets on it and sell it for $600."
I laughed out loud.
Then he said, "they sell just about anything you can bolt onto anything, but it don't mean it's a good thing to do."
He has a point.
