I saw a rack and pinion kit for a straight axle AD truck at performanceonline.com. This was odd to me because I had always heard that rack and pinion on a straight axle was unsafe. After looking at the kit online, it is an interesting setup.
The rack bolts onto the axle, it appears to be a rear steer configuration. The kit includes a telescoping steering shaft.
I am interested in what others think about this, please comment.
