Changed the cross member to accommodate the hydramatic which was
introduced as an option in '54. The angled saddle style mounts
gave better support than the earlier horizontal cantilevered
mounts. You have to remember that future designs were on the
drawing board and evolving many years before they were
implemented. The '54-'55 AD is a good example of that process.
