I have a problem that may be in line with what you wrote about . I had a local metal shop cut and bend up some 14 gauge for me to make a new tailgate . I then welded the tubing aong the top and bottom to resemble the stock tailgate . I welded small spots , moving around so as to not put too much heat in and deform things . It got a big high/low spot anyway ! Any suggestions on how to fix this one or chuck it and start over , maybe less weld and more body panel adheasive ?
