That block casting code, 3835911, was used from 1953-1955 on high-pressure 235s used on trucks (up through first series 55) and 53-55 Corvettes. It should have mechanical lifters and it should have the higher-mounted, earlier water pump (in the correct location for 1951 radiator). The fan belt is most likely 3/8" wide.
