Update- Most dangerous patrol we made was actually in the Carribean, where we were forced to taste all the local rum in those waters. Best was in the port of St. Croix, rum factory was just up the hill from our pier. The local stuff was just about .85 cents a bottle or by the glass rum punch was only 5 cents. The balance of my enlistment was totally wasted prowling waters North of the Arctic Circle. Only drink to be found was torpedo alcohol, courtesy of the USN.
