I had my bed wood made by a local cabinet maker. I found the demensions online. I didn't want the holes for the bolts in the planks so that was a reason why I went that way. I got finished hardwood for the same price as pine if I had fo ordered from a dealer. You'd be suprised what you can find if you ask around. The carpenter told me it took him about an hour or so to set up and after that making the boards was quite straight forward.
