Sorry for being boring on asking another heater question. I've been told that all 1947 to 1955 1st truck heaters were originally painted the same color, regardless of the truck exterior paint. In parting out a lot of old trucks, it seems that a tan or gray was a common color. A West Coast repop. supplier of old trucks sells a hammer tone gray paint, but I'm not sure that was an original color or finish. I'm building up a 1949 GMC heater and the customer is looking for original. Any help on this would be appreciated.
