For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 275 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 275 | The bed of my '56 Chevy had diamond pattern aluminum over plywood mounted in the bed. I have oak boards and stainless strips removed from a '55 that I'm stripping, cleaning, plan on refinishing, polishing stainless, etc.
The angle strips are spot-welded to the bedsides but have no holes to attach to the two outside bed boards. Aren't these angle strips supposed to have holes drilled for bolts to be inserted and bedboards attached? The boards have holes drilled in them for this purpose. | | |
