| | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 102 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 102 | Looking for an original GM turn signal switch for my 63 suburban 4x4.
It seems that the aftermarket switch can't handle the wats and it overheats. The terminals then become distorted and short causing the lights to flash as if the truck had a hazard flasher
I trimmed the terminals and now the system works ok but I lost the connection that sends the signal to the dash ( right signal only ) that blinks so you know the turn signal is operating.
This is the second switch I have installed as the 1st one stopped working altogether.
Should I go with led lights to lower the wattage.
