Definitely a learning curve on this one!! I used some cutting oil, like Tap Magic, for cutting and tapping metal. Slow and easy is the way to go, sometimes had to back off and let things cool off. Had no luck on punching out the old pins, they were rusted solid on me! I did buy a cross vise for the drill press, which helped on the alignment of the strap to the drill bit.
