They were not threaded looks more like a wheel stud with barbs on it. Came out with putting a nut and hammering it out. I took 4 out tonight without damaging the threads on a old rear axle. Not sure if the barbs will be enough to hold it but should tell tomorrow. I think most rear axle have the 3-4 lower bolts damaged just from hitting some debris or people put a jack under the axle in a bad spot.
