The vintage U-bolts used in U-Joint and differential applications were only flat at the top, then were round at the sides to accommodate the nuts, etc. They are pretty cool looking, and also very hard to find. If this is what you are thinking, that would be really cool to have about 4 of those. But just a little after that era, they just went the bent and threaded round stock. I think they should make them just for us vintage owners. Maybe you can discuss this with the President.
