Yes
The second pic above of the patch panels had to be reworked to get the shape correct at the bottom. Had to pound out the bottom and rebend it and make the flange.
I used the parking brake bracket as a target for locating the sill on that side
...pic... This is a common repair and most of us have found the same frustration with the patch panels
