| | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 291 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 291 | On my 50 3100, I see a round hole above the starter at the bell housing that has a small pin that looks like a pointer for setting the timing with a timing light. I have a 55 235 engine in my truck that I recently installed. It seems to be running and starting good but I only set the timing by ear. Is this hole used for timing and if so, what is the correct procedure for using a timing light and this p[in?( My 72 chevy v8 I used to drive required idle speed with vacuum removed from the vacuum advance module) | | |
