My "new" 235 came with a Rochester B with an auto chock that I am not using. I like having the manual choke on the dash, so yesterday the extra auto choke hardware came off, and I will be making some simple hardware a lá the old Rochester B to hook to the manual cable.
The auto choke mechanism had a steel vacuum line running to it from the base of the carb. I have tried to pull it out from the base, but no luck. How might I remove this vacuum line and plug the hole? Can I just stuff JB weld in the open end and leave the tube in place?
