I've got a one wire Altenator on my 58 gmc. I removed the wiring for the generator and regulator, mounted the Altenator on the side of my small block. The one wire off it went to the battery cable on the starter. It works fine and was really simple. I'm going to wire up an idiot light for the dash later but for now that's it.Larry
