I sanded the whole outside of my truck to the bare metal and then when I took it apart I was left with the firewall and inside. When I read this same thread a couple years ago I went and got a tub as the ICI place is close by. I brushed it on the firewall and then stuck some garbage bags to it and left it overnight. The next day I pulled back the bags and every bit of the factory paint came off leaving a gleaming bare surface. A scotch brite pad and it was ready for primer. I kicked myself I didn't do the whole thing like that. No mess,no stink,no irritation,no effort, I was in disbelief it was so easy. You can use a pressure washer but why? It all fell off. My tub was $60.00 cdn. but compared to the cost of sanding materials I would bet this method costs less than 1/3 of the hard way. I did both. I read the data sheets before I used it but liberal brushing and then sticking plastic against it worked better than I could have ever hoped. If you can get your hands on this stuff try it before sanding.
