Don't really know why, but I always considered completely sanding, grinding, or brushing a complete slab seemed a bridge too far. However, I was in my local Home Depot the other day and noticed they had several of those machines available for rental. Didn't seem ominous at all. Biggest job is going to be cleaning out the shop. Let us know what you end up doing, a lot of guys in the same boat.
