If you want the real hot setup using an S10 rear, find one from a '98-'04 with the ZR2 off road package. It will have what amounts to a narrowed version of the 8.5" rear found in the '88-'98 full size 1/2 ton trucks, including most of the Z71 off road package trucks and SS454. They are wider than the standard 4x4 S10 by about 2", and have a very good rear disk brake setup.
