For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 33 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 33 | I ordered a refacing kit for the gauges on my 49 3600. The speedometer bezel has a raised rim near the center. After screwing the bezel to the housing a chrome and painted trim piece sits inside the recess created by the raised rim and the needle is then pressed on over this trim piece. (I hope I've oriented you to where the raiser rim is located). Anyway, the refacing decal makes no allowance for the raised rim. It seems to me that if I try to place decal on the face and make the decal form to the raised rim that I will end up with wrinkles. What do I do? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
