Another approach to the evil headliner installation.
I read everything on this after ruining one set of cardboard liners.
I gave the front liner a light spray of Windex (didn't want to buy ammonia just for that) installed the centre bow on the front headliner on the bench, clamped it and left if overnight.
The next day I removed the clamps and put a piece of duct tape to hold it in place. Then I installed the rear liner (no spray needed) and taped them together with duct tape.
I took the whole headliner in one piece and popped in it place. It took about 2 minute and went in beautifully.
