I recently purchased a set of leaf springs off of a 1954 GMC 1/2 ton to put on my 1954 Chevy 3100. I fugured they would be compatible. The front springs worked okay and bolted right up, but the rear springs turns out the alignment bolt in the middle of the spring is nearly 2 inches closer to the shackle bushing then the spring I removed from the truck.
Are the rear springs from a 54 GMC different than those on their Chevrolet counterpart?
One thing I found attractive about the springs is that they're 10 leaf.

The photo below show the alignment pin location on the spring that came off the truck and the one I was seeking to put on the truck -- painted grey.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
