Finally getting the new bed assembled for my '51 AD. All pretty straightforward, but on the old bed, the cross sills were welded to the bed sides. These do not look like factory welds - Isn't it correct that the sills should be free to move up & down slightly when loaded? Thus they are really only attached to the bed floor? Thanks in advance...
