52Carl, it looks like breaks in the wire. I took it off to clean because it was caked with sludge. It was a running engine that was pulled out of the truck and still warm when I hauled it home, but I know it will work harder than it has in a long time when I get it in my truck so I want to do this right. I will check the screen in my old engine to see if it is in better shape.
