| | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 | I did the same thing with a jeep and I let it sit with no paint on it at all in my dry garage for six months and it didn't rust. I just hit it with a metal wash before I primed it and it stuck really well. If you are storing stuff outdoors or in a wet location prime it right away.
