I never understood what this was for originally, to hide bad panel fitment? Are you guys using this because you want an original look or to stop squeaks or to keep trash out of the joint? The reason I ask is I was considering using a plastic washer between the fender and the bed and didn't know if that was a ridiculous idea or not.
