Many years ago , I fitted a patch panel to the bottom of the door on my '39 Chev town sedan.
I used epoxy , 2 pack glue ,, maybe this is similar to the product you mentioned .. I rivited the panel in place until the epoxy had gone off (cured) then ground the heads down and finished the panel with the usual filler / paint etc .
