Followup. Did one door last night and the other tonight. Used horvath's high side out method with Chevy Duty weatherstrip. I put the adhesive on the door using a small disposable brush, the kind you use for solder flux, perfect width plus long enough to do the front around the hinges, plus they come two to a pack so one for each door. doors close about as easily as without the weatherstrip. thanks to all who posted.
