I've got a 54 chevy 3100 235 six with a rochester 1 barrel carb. It has automatic choke and has an auto tranny. I've called around for a rebuilt one and no-one seems to believe that I could have an auto choke on a 54. I've been told several times that the auto chokes were only used on cars in 54. Anyway, are there any reputable folks that we know that will rebuild it for me?? Also, what should this cost what should they do, and how long will she be down??
