I thought the plugs under the timing cover were freeze plugs but see that they are oil plugs.
The leak was a steady stream of water that appeared to be coming from the bottom of the timing chain cover, passenger side. It was getting dark though so it could have been leaking from somewhere above. There was a fair amount of sealant on the bottom of the timing chain cover, maybe a failed prior attempt to fix it?
I will dig into it tonight after work. If I could get by with just a new water pump (better yet just new gaskets), it would make my day! I will respond with findings. Thx.
