I did it some Pontiac valve covers. I used four '65 - '66 valve covers to make two. I cut the flange off of two and the top off of two then welded them back together. This made two tall old style valve covers that would fit the late model engines. I used lots of Bondo due to welding with a gas welded. With my new mig, I could of got away with a lot less. I never had a problem with it. Joe
