The glove box door is made in two pieces. The outer skin is stainless, as are the ash tray face and the speaker grille. I checked last night and found this: On 52-53 trucks the exterior chrome was light gray painted steel (I assume not the door handles). I think this applied to the interior stainless as well, including the wide upper and lower stainless trim pieces on the dash. Carter carries this paint color. Check their catalog or website.
