Replacing parking brake on 1948 1/2 ton.I am having problem sliding the metal retaining clip at the end of the cable through the cable clamp,i tried spreading the clamp with a flat chisel.It goes about 1/4 of the way through binds.I am afraid if i spread it more it may brake the clamp.Am i wearying to much,or do you force rubber cable through opening on the clamps, any ideas ? thanks
