This evening I just reinstalled my newly rebuilt W-1 on the Stovebolt "Flagship" -- the '49 3804. Getting back from the test drive, the difference was noticeable.
I sent the carburetor off to Larry Isgro on Long Island. He turned it around very fast (about a week). It's completely rebuilt with new bushings and the works. He even blasted the whole thing and repainted it as original. It really looked beautiful. I had it on my desk here for a day to just admire it ...
At anyrate, I am very pleased with the rebuilt/renewed W-1. Hambone, Peggy and I will be taking a road trip tomorrow in our trucks up to Billy Marlow's (about a 4-hour round trip), but between the 4.10 gearing in the axle and the newly rebuilt carb, I am looking forward to some time in the passing lane

Keep the W-1 -- it's a classic carburetor that still gits 'er dun!
