well guys thanks for the help! turns out nothing was wrong. i also went ahead and checked the compression and every cyl was good. me n my friend just cranked the hell out of it and did the usual pouring of fuel down the carb and after about 10 - 15 mins of cranking she started. we ran through the whole what it could be scenarios and we were both found nothing wrong so decide to just keep cranking. shes running now and i took the liberty to adj the valves hot, shes backfiring through the carb a bit when you rev it up, but after it warmed up it stopped, so I'm gonna go ahead and time it, but its running great.
