I decided to mount my passenger side engine side pan. There is a perfectly placed hole where the oil filler goes thru it.
When I went to put the oil filler back into the block , the mounting bracket that screws into the side of the block is too short. It doesnt reach the bracket mounting hole.
Note that Im running a 261 engine in my 46 2 ton. But Im using the original 235 oil filler. Is the oil filler hole in a different location relative to the bracket mounting hole on a 261 vs a 235?
obviously the part numbers for the fillers will be different as the 261 oil filler has a pipe running back to the intake manifold, while the 235 is just a pipe pointing down at the ground.
