I got an oakie bushing for my 1946 1/2 ton from Chev;s of the 40,s. Old front bushing removed, leaving rear bushing & old seal in place. When attempting to install the oakie bushing it goes in until the rear raised portion hits the machined step for the old front bushing. I know it is supposed to be a snug fit but several blows with a large hammer & wood block will not advance the bushing.
Any advice? anyone got specific dimensions on the oakie bushings? This is a Canadian truck - anyone know if there are different id's in the Canadian units?
