Went over last week to a local construction organization..they had a training facility to introduce students to different construction related careers.

One booth had a very elaborate HVLP training system. You used a very realistic HVLP gun on a hose and painted a mock wall on a LED TV screen. It was very cool..it felt like a real gun and it had two red dots that you lined up to get the right distance..it simulated laying out a pattern very well.

At the session it gave you an visual analysis of what you laid out and highlighted acceptable areas in green - it assessed paint thickness, efficiency, etc... there was a couple dozen readouts of various aspects of painting. I think you could adjust the gun as well to see how it affected your work.

You could even get it to run.

Man would I ever like to play on that! I wonder if they make a home version LOL.
