Yes, it is similar to that except it is on the left side of the transmission and there is a yoke that bolts to the frame crossmember with adjustment there.
Also this is a 2 or 2 1/2 ton truck.
I am thinking R-Bo may be correct about stopping the shifter from moving under a load. But it seems to be going the wrong direction for that, more like to restrict forward and backward movement??
