Bolt in is best for future changes. you can get one for the motor, mock it up with tranny and measure for the trans mount. All these things can be adjusted, modified, shimmed, spacered, fabed..... at mock up. Don't know about 42 but this has been done a whole lot with old trucks. Many, many how-to's
