yes, the pegs are still used on the bottom, don't know if the LCF had the retainer, but you might look for small screw holes toward each end of the bottom for an indication of it, on the regular doors it really is helpful because of the constant working of the seal with the open/close action of the doors, especially in freezing weather when the rubber can sometimes stick to the step from moisture there freezing - I think without a retainer, it'd be good to glue across the bottom
